Hampstead House, NW3

Hampstead, London      Complete        120 sq.m.      House Renovation & Extension

We have been working on the renovation and extension of a mid-terraced 1950’s house in a Conservation Area in the heart of Hampstead Village. Working with our clients we secured, through several orchestrated submissions, permission for a rear dormer extension in addition to a 3m ground floor extension with a further 1m glass box, dramatically expanding and opening out the existing house.

Having gained consent, we have developed tender drawings to completely refurbish the existing tired interiors with a new layout, providing a spacious open-plan ground kitchen, living and dining room. The rear glass winter garden seamlessly opens onto a new terrace connecting the interior to the garden.

Before After

A new staircase gives access to the first floor and new loft space converted into a master bedroom suite with ensuite bathroom. At first floor an office, two bedrooms and a family bathroom have been included. The impact of the design increases the floor area of the house by 50% whilst introducing contemporary interior design and living standards suited to 21st century lifestyles.

The project completed towards the end of 2019. Delivered on a constrained budget, the project has transformed a vacant property into a highly-desirably place to live.
