Crawford Partnership is delighted to be able to present our latest brochure focusing on the creation of three houses in a unique mews development called Stonechat Mews. Working closely with engaging clients, we were able to transform a derelict workshop space at the end of a tired run of garages into a set of contemporary terraced four-bedroom houses. The challenging physical (access, storage and neighbours) alongside budgetary constraints forced an innovative solution in the situation. This continues to the practice’s history of creating housing on difficult garage sites, as a key strategy now reflected in the National Planning Policy Framework alongside the latest revisions to the London Plan as a method of addressing the housing crisis through using these backland and infill sites.
