Renovation & extension to Muswell Hill Broadway project secures Planning Approval

Following two years of ongoing negotiations, Crawford Partnership has obtained planning approval from Haringey Council for the change of use, and the renovation and extension of a large existing commercial property located in the heart of a busy Muswell Hill shopping parade. The approved designs will provide 6 new flats in redundant areas above the existing shop, adding a new floor within a mansard roof, and removing the existing bland 1960’s front facade to be replaced with a modern design that borrows from the materials and details of the Victorian buildings adjacent in a contemporary re-interpretation.

Three new apartments will also be added on top of the large expanse of flat roof to the rear of the building, which will be prefabricated offsite using cutting-edge manufacturing technology and delivered fully finished to be craned onto the roof, providing high-quality living accommodation with minimal disruption to the daily business in this location.

Having secured the planning permission, Crawford Partnership is looking forward to progressing works on site in 2019.
