Crawford Partnership has been granted planning consent for the renovation and extension of a dilapidated mid-terrace house in Hampstead Village

Following lengthy negotiations with the London Borough of Camden, Crawford Partnership has just received full planning approval for the complete renovation and extension of this former local authority dwelling located in a Conservation Area within the heart of beautiful Hampstead Village. Acquired by our clients in 2017, the brief was to completely upgrade the existing 1950’s 2 storey mid terrace dwelling, introducing a contemporary style both externally and internally and incorporating modern fixtures and fittings and renewable energy installations that will provide the bespoke designed home with 21st century living standards.

The approved designs feature a rear single storey addition at ground floor to extend living space with a structural ‘glass box’ that seamlessly connects the house to the garden. A loft conversion with a large dormer window clad in zinc creates a new master bedroom and ensuite bathroom overlooking the garden at second floor level. The design includes the latest smart-home technology, which combined with the renewable energy installations, will enable the home to be more self-sufficient in future energy generation.

Works will commence on site early in 2019!
